David Quinn is a fashion and costume designer whose work spans theater, dance, film, burlesque, and red carpet events. His designs have been featured in both traditional and unconventional venues across the U.S. and internationally. In 2017, his work on Jack was described as “jaw-dropping” (Travelance) and “glorious” (Time Out NY), while his 2022 costumes for Dick Rivington were praised as “brilliantly inventive” by The New York Times.

Quinn has collaborated with many prominent NYC-based choreographers and companies, including the Martha Graham Dance Company, Merce Cunningham, and Stanley Love. Dance View Times noted that “Quinn is cutting, draping, and coloring the most beautiful dance costumes to be found in New York.”

His eclectic group of collaborators includes iconic drag queen The Lady Bunny, music legend Debbie Harry (for whom he designed a mirrored shroud for Coachella), and HBO’s Somebody Somewhere star Bridget Everett, for whom he has created numerous red carpet and press event looks. He has also designed several incredible pieces for performance artist Darrel Thorne.

Quinn’s work has been featured in various publications and is documented in several books and films.

Currently, Quinn’s costumes can be seen in Hypnotique, now in its second year at the McKittrick Hotel in NYC.

Miranti (Cuchi) graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in Apparel Design in 2000. She spent 14 years in the industry but became disillusioned by the constraints that prevented her from fully embracing her intuitive design approach. Her relationship with design has always been complex—it’s something that comes naturally, yet the limitations imposed by late-stage capitalism make it so hard for her to do seamlessly (pun intended).

Her passion for creation was reignited when she discovered Burlesque, rekindling her love for performance, costume design, and storytelling.

Fate then led her back to an old passion—cooking. This time, it became something more significant. She now blends cooking with storytelling, offering immersive experiences that allow people to explore the depth of Indonesian culture by reconnecting with her roots.

Coming full circle, Miranti is dedicating herself to a new project: revamping traditional Indonesian tribal dresses into modern couture garments—much like her approach to elevating Indonesian cuisine to haute cuisine.

In the end, there are countless ways to tell a story, whether through fashion, performance, or food—a perfect polyamorous affair of creativity.

Eric Gorsuch is a costume designer based in New York City.  He received an MFA in Sculpture and Art Education from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2008. Directly following school, he attended the New England Center for Circus Arts, completing their Intensive Professional track program, where he established himself as a physical circus artist and became acutely aware of the power of costume on stage.  Shortly after, his nightlife persona “Mr Gorgeous” was born and he found himself performing as a headliner in International burlesque and cabaret festivals recognized for his costume visuals; equivalent to his onstage performance. His background in circus and cabaret performance gave him a specific understanding of the demands and functions necessary when costuming dynamic dancers and circus artists. He views constructing a garment like a living collage or sculpture, giving his designs a unique and artistic style. 

His distinctive approach to design has caught the attention of some high profile clients. He has designed and constructed costumes for Lady Gaga and RuPaul’s Drag Race’s BenDeLaCreme and Jinkx Monsoon, in addition to countless costumes for the stars of New York’s cabaret and nightlife culture. Other theatrical designs include 2 Ring Circus’ “Cirque Le Jazz” NYC & China Tour, 2 Ring Circus’ regional production of “Seussical the Musical”, and Kitten & Lou’s “Jingle all the Gay.” 

His Broadway construction credits include Bob Fosse’s “Dancin’,” “Spamalot,” “Water for Elephants” and “Heart of Rock and Roll.” Additional construction credits include RWS Associates’ “Houdini” for MSC cruise line, the 2022 Tony Awards opening number separates, “Lo The Series,” Phish NYE at Madison Square Garden, and Amazon Basics.
